OUR MISSION is to cultivate and empower students to become lifelong readers and learning enthusiasts. By taking an integrated approach to teaching, our intention is to meet students at their academic and interest level and to assist them in moving forward in their learning in an exciting and engaging manner. Providing a solid foundation of informational literacy now will set students up to build upon this foundation throughout their academic lives and beyond.

OUR FOUNDER:
MARY CAVANAGH is the founder of Music Integration Specialists, a consulting firm which develops music-based curriculum lessons or lesson-planning for educators. Mary is passionate about combining music and music literature with general education curriculum to make student learning more interactive, engaging and meaningful for ALL students to ensure more successful learning outcomes and retention of concepts.
Experience:
Mary has been an educator for Norwell Public Schools for the past 27 years. Mary has been a classroom teacher for grades 2, 3 & 4, as well as a Library Media Information Specialist for grades K-5.
Qualifications:
She holds a Master’s Degree from Lesley University in Elementary Education, as well as a Certificate of Advanced General Studies in Interdisciplinary Studies from Fitchburg State University. Mary also holds a K-12 Certification in Library Media Science from Salem State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music.
Mary and her husband Scott divide their time between Massachusetts and New Hampshire and share their homes with their 3 dogs and 2 cats.
